Designation Project Manager – Business Lending

Experience: 8 – 12 Years

Job Description : Minimum Requirements for entry to this work level

Relevant Tertiary Qualification or equivalent professional qualifications
Significant knowledge/experience (8 – 12 years) in computer systems development
Minimum 4-5 years of Project Management experience dealing with Client for medium to large size project execution
Thorough understanding of the application development segments of the development life cycle
Good understanding of company systems policies, procedures, standards and capabilities
 
Desired Profile  :Project Planning and Execution
Understand Stakeholders Expectations, Business Impact and Project Objectives
Responsible for creating and executing the project work plan in order to accomplish its goals within constraints such as Cost, Quality, Scope and Time standards
Develop / Identify metrics to measure Quality, Productivity, Utilization and Cost effectiveness
Ensure Processes are followed at all stages of Software Development Life Cycle
Identify, Log, Analyze and Manage potential Issues and Risks by taking timely & corrective actions to avoid any impact on Project Scope, Quality, Schedule and Cost
Ensures timely completion, Quality Assessment and Delivery of all deliverable Work Products
Responsible for accurate Estimation and effective Work Breakdown Structure
Define and Review project Scope, Timeline and Deliverables
Implement & manage Change Control through out Project Life Cycle
Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner
Business Development: Identifies business development and ‘add-on’ sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project
Establish and manage relationship with Internal and External stakeholders of the Project Develop or assist in developing strategic/tactical business development plans
Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationship
Financial Management: Prepare accurate Cost/Benefit Estimate and Analysis Forecast,
Maintain and Control the project budget
Vendor contracts and Statement of Work / Contracts review and negotiation skills
Quality Management : Identify quality standards and metrics relevant to the Project
Ensure proper controls are in place to Review and/or Monitor quality of Deliverables
Collect and Analyze All Quality metrics / data available to measure project performance
Suggest Process Improvements to achieve or exceed desired quality
Resource Management : Prepare Resource Plan, Job Description and identify Resources
Defines clear Roles and Responsibilities of each Team Member
Identify Training needs and facilitate training programs
Manages the development of team by ensuring, when possible, that project tasks are in line with each Innovator’s career interests
Assist & guide team members in developing Career Goal Plans
Conducts periodic performance appraisal for his/her team members
Effectively utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential
Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner
Communication Planning and Management : Develops Communication Plan for all internal and external dependent entities involved in the Project
Responsible for preparing and presenting Weekly & Monthly Project Status reports
Effectively communicates relevant project information to Seniors, Peers and Team Members
Facilitates team and client meetings effectively
Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
Effectively conveys our message in both written and verbal business development discussions
Technical Broad understanding of current design methodologies and techniques e.g. data modeling, information engineering, systems architecture, systems development life cycle
Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures
Proficient in one or more project management techniques e.g. project planning and estimating, risk assessment, resource allocation, management/work scheduling
Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on client engagements
General Time Management : Demonstrated ability to manage time and priorities of self and set reasonable guidelines for project staff
Stress Management: Ability to handle pressure situation and motivate team to deliver desired results
Initiative : Pro-actively assist users in defining/realizing system deliverables.
Present proposals and solutions where required.
Make decisions and delivers results.
Interviewing Skills
Talk with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential requirements information
Interpersonal skills: Help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders
Analytical Thinking : Displayed ability to breakdown and translate rudimentary business requirements into technical solutions.
Identify, understand and ensure resolution of problems impacting project development.
Information Seeking : Demonstrated ability to identify information critical to the project and use this information to clarify issues and resolve work problems to meet project objectives.
